Resident-Operated Community Portal
The Bramptons portal is an independent, resident-run civic initiative for neighbours living in SN5 5SL, SN5 5SJ and the surrounding Shaw area. We strictly attribute all external APIs, OpenStreetMap cartography, and photographic authors. We do not sell user data, run third-party advertising trackers, or charge residents for notice submissions.
1. Independent Civic Noticeboard
The Bramptons community portal is maintained on a voluntary basis by residents of The Bramptons (SN5 5SL & SN5 5SJ, Swindon). It is not affiliated with, nor operated by, Swindon Borough Council, West Swindon Parish Council, Wiltshire Police, or any single estate agency. Official municipal inquiries should be directed to the respective public authority contacts listed in our Directory.
2. Weather Data & Rain Warnings
Local weather metrics and automated rain alerts are powered by Open-Meteo under CC BY 4.0. Weather forecasts are provided for resident convenience and planning only; please check the Met Office or National Rail for severe weather travel warnings.
3. Recommended Trades & Third Parties
Trade professionals and services featured in the directory have been submitted or recommended by local neighbours. The Bramptons Community Association accepts no liability for work performed, quotations, contracts, or warranties. Residents should always verify trade accreditations (e.g., Gas Safe, NICEIC) and obtain independent quotations before engaging services.
4. Property Market Telemetry
Market price estimates and sale listings are aggregated from public registry records and portal search indexes (Rightmove, Zoopla, OnTheMarket). Property listings are subject to change without notice; please verify directly with the respective estate agent.
5. Privacy & Data Protection (GDPR / UK DPA 2018)
We do not use tracking cookies or advertising telemetry. Information submitted through our notice forms, trade recommendations, or feedback forms is used solely for the administration and moderation of community notices and is stored securely in accordance with UK data privacy principles.
